battle for beauty. and romance
equipped -w ith. all-important
satchelsize handbags! And it is
well that the size: of handbags has
increased, because we find that
we must Carry many ~weapons~
with us, wherever we go, wherever
we are.

and let us never overlook that
kéatty means romance... have
you in your handbag? In mine, f
find that I have lip rouge, rouge;
~ powder, puff, evebrow brush and
~pencil, paper tissues for beauty
aid, nail file and stick; nail polish
for emergency repair of damaged
appearance, a small kit with needle
end thread, because I long ago
learned that nothing is so wunsightly as a leg-length run in my
hosiery. I also catry a small pair
cf nail scissors, a mirror, a comb,
and small vials of foundation and
vanishine creams.

Here are some ideas that you will want to copy if you
are planning a very simple and inexpensive wedding and
you must do your own decorating and catering.
There must be an~atractive setting for the ceremony.
If there. is not a.convenient bay window or a fireplace in
front of which the bridal-party may stand, a very effective
screen or archway is not difficult to arrange. If a dorwaycan be used so much the better. Cut an arch to fit the de-~
sired space of wall board and cover it smoothly with very;
best white crepe paper. Add a scroll désign made of gold or:

silver mat stock. Cut the scroll pieces from a silver mat ||

stock and attach to the citcle with tiny bits of Scotch tape:.

Fill the doorway or space with chicken wire into which nat-|
ural green may. be tucked to make a solid feathery back-: |~~

ground. On either side place a large vase of flowers or:
