St. Valentine Heart Cake~One cup sugar, one-half cup butter or other fat; one egg, two cups flour, two-thirds cup water, four tea-| one-fourth teaspoon salt, one-third cup sweet-; ~ened condensed milk, one teaspoon | vanilla. Cream sugar and butter until; light. Add egg slightly beaten. Sift | flour once measure, add baking powder and salt, and sift again. Blend together sweetened condensed milk and wear and add alternately with dry ingredients to butter mixture. Beat until smooth. Add vanilla. Bake in grease loaf pan (eight by four by three-inches) in a moderate oven for about forty | minutes or until dine. Cover with this frosting: Maraschino Frosting~-Two cups ees gar, one-half cup sweetened. con: densed milk, one-fourth cup drained maraschino cherries, finely chopped. Stir sifted ~confectioner~s sugar into sweetened condensed milk. Add maraschino cherries whicao have been finely chopped and beat. Cool cake before spreading frosting, Decorate with hearts made of small red.cinnamon candies. Rosy Valentine Tarts~One and cne-fourths cups flour, four tablespoons butter, four tablespoons lara. onefourth. teaspoon salt, one-half teaspoon yales powder, water to mix. Mix dry ingredients: cut in fat with knife or spatula. Do not over mix. Add just enough water to together with a fork until dough is formed. Roll on floured board to desired thickness.
