Access and Use

Acquisition Information:

The bulk of the collection was donated in 1940 by the estate of Irving K. Pond (donor no. 1085). Some materials were donated in the same year by the American Academy of Arts and Letters (donor no. 1168).

Access Restrictions:

The collection is open for research.

To protect fragile audiovisual recordings (such as audio cassettes, film reels, and VHS tapes), the Bentley Historical Library has a policy of converting them to digital formats by a professional vendor whenever a researcher requests access. The copyright status of the collection is unknown. The microfilm autobiography of Irving K. Pond may not be quoted, reproduced, or published without permission of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Patrons are responsible for determining the appropriate use or reuse of materials.
