The Newspaper Clippings series are scrapbooks compiled by Withington's wife, Julia. The bulk of these clippings document the Civil War activities, particularly of Michigan regiments, and some post-Civil War memorial activities and miscellaneous. Many clippings are without notations regarding date or source, and do not appear to be in chronological order. The final scrapbook contains clippings and ephemera about Withington's death.
