- A convoy winding its way along a forest road. The rolling character of the ground, the twisting of the road, the clearing through the forests on each side of the road, all of which are typical of miles and miles of roads in northern Russia, are illustrated in this picture. This was taken early in the afternoon at the start of a journey of nineteen versts. In a distance forty four versts only one log cabin was seen, and that was the rest house, where the convoy rested five hours before proceeding. Jillena, Russia.
