Swanson Associates, architecture firm. Joseph Aldrich and Marguerite Knowlton Bursley Hall is at 1931 Duffield, on North Campus of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Bursley, a co-educational residence hall, accommodates 1,200 students. Opened in 1968 and has eight houses named after Silas Hamilton Douglas, Alice Hamilton, Harley Harris Bartlett, Howard B. Lewis, Barbara Rotvig, Amanda Sanford (Hickey), Arthur J. Van Duren Jr., and Bertha Van Hoosen.
