Robert C. Metcalf was a noted Michigan-based modern architect as well as a professor and dean of the University of Michigan College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Metcalf's work includes over 150 buildings in Michigan and Ohio; the material in this collection tracks his career from the 1940s through the 2000s and includes architectural drawings, photographs, slides, and teaching materials.
This digital collection was made possible by a generous gift from David Deromedi in honor of Nancy M. Deromedi, a pioneer of digital archives at the University of Michigan's Bentley Historical Library who was dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of Mid-Century Modern architecture and design.
