[The meeting between Lincoln and Truth took place Oct. 20, 1864. The painting was first displayed at the 1893 World Columbian Exposition in Chicago and the hung at the Battle Creek Sanitarium. The painting was destroyed in the 1902 Sanitarium fire. The photo was taken Frank Perry, a Battle Creek photographer,1880-18100
