Browne, and contributions should be sent to him at the following address:

The editor asks contributors to observe the following guidelines:
1. Abbreviations for editions of papyri and ostraca should conform to those proposed by J. Oates, R. Bagnall and W. Willis in their "Checklist of Editions of Greek Papyri
and Ostraca," BASP 11 No. 1 (1974). The volume number of the edition should be included:
e.g. P.Oxy. XLI 2943.1-3; 2968.5; P.Mich. IX 526.3-4; P.Lond. I 293 (p. 187) 9-10.
2. Other abbreviations should conform to the usage set down in the American
Journal of Archaeology 74 (1970) 1-8.
3. For ancient and Byzantine authors, contributors should consult the Oxford
Classical Dictionary (Oxford 1970) ix-xix, and A Patristic Greek Lexicon, ed. G. W. H. Lampe
(Oxford 1961) xi-xlv.
4. When reading proof, contributors should limit themselves to correcting typographical errors. Revisions and additions should be avoided; if absolutely necessary, they
will be made at the author's expense.
Each contributor will receive 50 offprints of his article free of charge; additional
offprints may be ordered, at the author's expense, from Professor Roger S. Bagnall at the
following address:
