5. Conclusions From the foregoing reports that have been covered in this review, it is obvious that the reactions of nitrilimines with both heterocyclic amines and enamines provide wide synthetic strategies for annulation and ring-transformation of various heterocycles. It is hoped that it will stimulate further research groups throughout the world to explore more the utility of such reactions in the synthesis of novel heterocycles and natural products.
