- We, [Herakleides] and Papontos and Taorsenouphis and Tasooukis, the four children of Papontos, our mother being Kolleuthis, and the husband of Tasooukis, Harmiysis, son of Panesnous, his mother being Taorphaesis, acknowledge, that is, [Herakleides] and Papontos and Taorsenouphis and Tasooukis acknowledge that we have sold in accordance with the Egyptian contracts, to Kouthion, son of Menches, his mother being Tapetsiris, the house and court and all the appurtenances that belong to us in Theogonis in the division of Polemon, of which the measurements are from south to north eight ells and from west to east twenty-five ells, to the extent of both the measurements in ells, or as many as there may be. The neighbors are on the south the house of Apynchis, son of Apynchis, on the north the house and court of Apynchis, the so-called deaf mute, on the west the house of Leontiskos, on the east the royal [road]. And we have received the entire price agreed upon, in full, and we guarantee the sale with every guarantee forever. I, Harmiysis, the aforesaid husband of Tasooukis, authorize the aforesaid sale and agree not to proceed against it forever, and not to bring any claim, and I shall do the rest as aforesaid. Herodes, son of Herodes, wrote for them because they are illiterate.
