- The twelfth year of Tiberius Caesar Augustus, the twenty-sixth of the month Panemos, Pachon 26, at Tebtynis in the division of Polemon of the Arsinoite nome.
- Chairemon, son of Horos, about twenty-nine years old, with a scar on his forehead to the left, and Herodes, son of Herodes, about forty-five years old, with a scar on his right forearm, and Patynis, son of Marepsemis, about thirty years old, with a scar below his left eyebrow, acknowledge to Papnebtynis, son of Petesis, a Persian of the epigone, about forty-five years old, with a scar on his right shin, that they have given him a partnership to the extent of the fourth part of the catoecic allotment of 40 arourai or thereabouts which they hold under lease from Chairemon, son of Penkios, near the village, for four years from the present twelfth year of Tiberius Caesar Augustus. The total annual rental is fixed by the lease, including the seed which Chairemon shall furnish, namely, 35 artabai of seed wheat and 5 artabai of barley, at 197 1/2 artabai of wheat and 50 artabai of barley, and 2 artabai of bread for good will, and a bonus of 5 drachmai in silver. And he himself will be responsible for the 23 artabai of wheat which he owes according to a loan, and shall be obliged to adhere to the terms of the lease, and it will not be permissible for him to give up the partnership.
- Signatory for Papnebtynis, Eutychos, son of Maron, about 60 years old, with a scar on the left side of his chin.
- (2nd hand) We, Chairemon, son of Horos, and Herodes, son of Herodes, and Patynis, son of Marepsemis, acknowledge that we have granted the partnership as aforesaid. I, Herodes, wrote for them.
- (3rd hand) I, Chairemon, son of Horos, ordered him to write.
- (4th hand) I, Papnebtynis, son of Petesis, have received the contract and the other things accordingly. Eutychos, son of Maron, wrote for him since he is illiterate.
- (5th hand) A copy of the partnership has been registered. The 12th year of Tiberius Caesar Augustus, Pachon 26.
