- (Recto)
- . . . and as it happens I was once forced, to put it somewhat mildly, two years ago, to manage the plains belonging to my village, doing it for a short period of time, as I said before. Then when a most experienced man appeared, I mean Heron son of Kopres, he filled the office of horiodeiktes and administered it . . . (8 lines too damaged to be translated) . . . since I was not nominated through a report, but the nomination was made through a list of . . ., what is not allowed, I ask your honor to require through your order to the strategos, a most estimable man, who is bound to carry out your judgment, that there shall be no nonsense on the pretext of the horiodeiktia and that I may be aided by you. Farewell.
- (2nd hand) I, Aurelius Heron, submitted this petition.
- (3rd hand) Year 3, Pachon 1. Apply to the strategos who will administer justice. Column 50, volume 3.
