- Day by day register of abstracts of the contracts recorded at the record-office (grapheion) of Tebtynis during the four last months of the 2nd year of the Emperor Claudius. - Col. IV, abstract 12 records a contract of agreement, given by 6 officials of the public tenant cultivators of Tebtynis to 2 cattle graziers, who have rented half of the dry pasture lands of the village and are to make a deposit at a public bank of a certain portion of the rental for the current year; the contract was registered on May 28, 42 A.D. (see also Verso, col. III, 18)

- Orsenouphis, son of Horouanchis, about 55 years old, with a scar on the right calf, and Apynchis, son of Harmiysis, about 50 years old, with a scar on the right cheek, and Apsemis, son of Psosneus, about 50 years old,with a scar on the right wrist, and Psenkebkis, son of Sokonopis, about 30 years old, with a scar on the right forearm, and Orsenouphis, son of Orsenouphis, about 40 years old, with a scar on the nose below the eyebrow line, the five of them secretaries <Read: elders> of the public cultivators of the aforesaid village of Tebtynis, and Harmiysios, secretary of the cultivators of the same village, about 56 years old, with a scar on the right forearm, acknowledge to Herakles, son of Aphrodisios, about 65 years old, with a scar on the right cheek, and Orses, son of Phasos, about 58 years old,with a scar on the thumb of his right hand, both of them cattle graziers, that they, the parties of the first part, are satisfied with what Herakles and Orses will deposit at the designated public bank in the metropolis to the credit of the aforesaid Harmiysios, secretary of the cultivators, and Orsenouphis, son of Horouanchis, and the other secretaries <Read: elders> of the village, on account of the rental for the present 2nd year of a half-share of the dry pastures, and they guarantee (the lease).
