- The four columns of the Recto have an unusual widh of about 70 cm. - The writing is a small upright cursive, different from the Verso. (Boak)

- Day by day register of abstracts of the contracts recorded at the record-office (grapheion) of Tebtynis during the four last months of the 2nd year of the Emperor Claudius. - Col. III, abstract 1 records a (demotic) alimentary contract, registered on May 13, 42 A.D. (see also Verso, col. II, 15); the so-called alimentary contract is in reality a property settlement entered into by persons already united in marriage, fixing the sum which the husband was obliged to pay to his wife in case of his divorcing her and describing the real properties which would become sureties for the payment of this sum

- Translation
- Alimentary contract for money of the value of 11 pieces of gold, and the contract of surrender and preliminary sale in respect of my share inherited from my mother of a house and court with all their appurtenances in Talei in the division of Polemon, and also in respect of (whatever property) I may acquire from the present time, both allotments and slaves and movables and household furnishings, in any way whatsoever.
- And the dowry is 60 silver drachmai, and as parapherna without valuation a pair of gold ear-rings of 3 quarters, and a lunette of gold of 1 1/2 quarters, and silver armlets of a weight of 8 drachmai of uncoined metal, and a bronze bowl, and two bronze water jars, and (women's utensils) of tin of a weight of 2 minai.
- Which contract Patynis, son of Kronion, his mother being Soueris, about 40 years old, with a scar on the left cheek, makes with his wife Thatres, daughter of Nikomedes(?), her mother being Thomsais, about 26 years old, with a scar in the middle of the forehead below the hair.
- Signatory: Ptolemaios, son of Chairemon, about 75 years old, with a scar above the left elbow, and for the other party Heraklides, son of Horion, about 60 years old, with a scar on the left instep.
