Three vertical folds along which the papyrus has been damaged extensively. Nevertheless, the text is practically complete at the right edge until l. 10, where a piece in the bottom right corner of the papyrus has broken off.

All that remains of this petition is the heading with the adressee; enough remains. however, to suggest that the letter is dealing with the priestly status of the authors.

Translation
"To Gaius Julius Gratus strategus, from Harthotes son of Marres and Paeis son of Psenamunnis, priests of the temple of the god Tithoes which is in Theadelphia in the Themistes' meris, and associates (?) in forming public lands. We cleave to our responsibility for the temple of the aforementioned god and make the accustomed sacrifices and libations on behalf of our god and lord Augustus Imperator Caesar . . ."
