Type of Text/Title of Work
Request for Appointment of a Guardian
Content
(Copy of a) petition to the prefect, to whom Aurelia Diodora requests to appoint Aurelius Theon as her legal guardian. The petition itself is in Latin, but is followed by a subscription of the petitioner and by the consentment of the future guardian, both in Greek; the approval note of the prefect, again in Latin, concludes the text. As the petition and the prefect's approval are in the same hand, the text is probably a copy restituted to Aurelia Diodora, while the original was kept in the prefect's files.
