Letter sent to Serapion by Isis, perhaps his wife, who reports on the purchases of wheat and hay and asks him to send her money for expenses; she also sends greetings from his and her family. Serapion apparently reused the papyrus to write a short note to another woman, named Helene

Translation
Isis to her brother Serapion, many greetings. I make your obeisance each day before the gods of this place. Be informed (?) by me that Philon has (not?) delivered <OR: that I don't owe ...> a single artaba of wheat, charging me twenty drachmai. But know that it is all right. If you can, send me (money?) for the expense, (and so that?) I may sail to you. Come to us as soon as you can. I also spent twelve drachmai fo r hay. Greet your father heartily. Your son greets your heartily, as do your mother and my mother(?) and my sister.
