- Conservation Status
- Regularly cut off at all sides. One major abrasions in the right side of the papyrus. Three papyrus strips glued on the back left of the papyrus, used for attaching another document to it, are still attached although the document originally attached (P. Corn. inv. I 17b) has now fallen off; these strips of papyrus do not show on the photo in P. Cornell volume.
- Palaeographic Description
- Rather large, regular semicursive. Text cut off at all sides except at the bottom, where there is a margin of 2 cm. This text, in its complete form, contained the names of 88 men who were weavers by trade (l. 38). Fourteen of these names are preserved in complete form in col. II, others in badly shattered condition in col. I. If competely filled with entries, col. II would hold 24 names. Assuming that its length is normal, we may estimate that there have been lost two columns of the beginning of the document and five or six columns of the end.
