Description
Prismative blade, Mansford Plantation, Madison Parish, Louisiana. One of the most diagnostic early Marksville lithic markers, the prismatic blade, is found at a variety of sites. The finest example is from surface provenience at the multicomponent Mansford Plantation site. The long, curved blade resembles Illinois Valley examples produced by the Fulton technique.
