- Collected by H. T. Wright in November 2003, during a National Geographic trip to Madagascar. Notes from H. Wright:
- "Obtained by exchange for a new Betsileo knife purchased for 15,000 Malagasy francs ($3.98) with a young man who had inherited the knife and did not know its value or its origin.
