SHORT "L" SHAPED PIPE: This slender delicate pipe is very similar to the Canandaigua pipe shown in slide 14-14 (#14923). It is carved from the same type of black soapstone, the difference being the placement of the perforation just above the stem hole. Approximate age is from 1750 to 1779. MIC MAC FIRE CLAY PIPE BOWL: A brown gray Ohio fire clay mic mac style pipe bowl was decorated by scroll work on the base and shows a repair groove around the bowl. Apparently the pipe bowl had been broken and its owner repaired it by a groove around the bwol so that it could be tied together. Approximate age is from 1750 to 1779. Location- Honeoye Site, Honeoye, New York. Dimensions are 6 cm. by 3 cm.
