Replica of a famous Yangshao bowl. The interior is decorated with two cross-hatched fish and two face motifs which alternate around the side.. The faces have filled and open patches, line eyes, and a simple line nose. There are three triangles extending from the top and to each side of the base. A small fish faces each side of the face. Description
Replicated canoe in Makah Cultural and Research Center. Although deer, elk and other land mammal bones may be found at Ozette, sea mammal bones are by far the most numerous. Sea mammals, including sea lion, fur seal, hair seal, porpoise and whale were a valued source of food. Note the gear in this hunting canoe, which includes inflated floats, paddles, baskets, and mats.

Birch bark canoe. Ends are stitched together with a reed. Along top and to make seats, thin pieces of wood are used. The top is attached using small nails. Some black "tar"-like substance on bottom curves and as a decoration across middle of canoe.
