- Santa Rosa Island, Calif. Survey Point, showing entire Wisconsin sediments caged by Dune Dweller sand dunes. Evidence of man is found from the lowest to the highest point where the jeep is. At the midway point on the cliff is the radiocarbon date of 29,650 years on burned mammoth bone. At the lower 26 feet above water, a date of more than 37,000 years was received. Approximately 12 ft down from the light colored sand, a date of 12,000 years. Fires

Kitchen midden composed of red abalone shell midden H, rufescens, Called a kitchen midden in spite of some disagreement on the use of the word "midden" at the conference.
