- Marksville Stamped, var. Crooks vessel. The raptorial bird and other Marksville motifs often are emphasized by zoned dentate rocker stamping. Zones scallop shell impressions offer one variation used to create the same effect, as on this ovoid bowl from the Crooks Mound.
