BONE FISH HOOKS: Most fish hooks were made form turkey's leg bones. This slide shows the sequence of manufacture from the rectangular blank bone to the finished fish hook. Approximate age is from 1590 to 1615. Location- Factory Hollow Site, West Bloomfield, New York. Dimensions of the largest bone fish hook are 4.5 cm by 1.5 cm.
