Charles Phelps Eſq; Judge of the Court of Probate for the Diſtrict of Stonington, in the State of Connecticut,, in New-Eng- land, holding the ſaid Court. To Elisha Williams GREETING. WHEREAS Kedar Freeman. (Negro) late of Groton deceaſed, having while he lived, and at the Time of his Death, Goods, Chattels, Credits and Eſtate in said Groton no lately died Inteſtate : By Virtue whereof the Power of Adminiſtration, and full Diſpoſition of all and ſingular the Goods, Chattles, Credits and Eſtate of the ſaid deceaſed : And alſo the hearing, examining, and allowing the Accounts of the Adminiſtration thereof apper- tains unto me : And I being deſirous that the Goods, Chattles, Credits and Eſtate of the ſaid deceaſed ſhould be well and truly Adminiſtred. I DO therefore, (truſting in your Fidelity and Care) commit unto you the ſaid Elisha Williams full Power to adminiſter the Goods, Chattles, Credits and Eſtate of the ſaid deceaſed, which to him while he lived, and at the Time of his Death did appertain : And, to pay all Debts in which the deceaſed ſtood bound, ſo far as his Goods Chattles, Credits and Eſtate can extend, according to the Value thereof : And to make a true and perfect Inventory of all and ſingular the Goods, Chattles, Credits and Eſtate of the ſaid deceaſed, and exhibit the ſame into the Regiſtry of the ſaid Court of Probate, on, or before the 7th day of Septemr next inſuing : And alſo render to the ſaid Court a true and plain Account of your Adminiſtration, on or before the 7th day of August Anno Domini, 1782. And I do by theſe Preſents Ordain, Depute, and Conſtitute you Adminiſtrator of all and ſingular the Goods, Chattles, Credits and Eſtate aforeſaid. In Witneſs whereof, I have cauſed the Clerk of the ſaid Court to Sign theſe Preſents and affix the Seal of ſaid Office thereunto, this Seventh Day of August Anno Domini 1781. Elnathan Rosseter Regr.
