of Slaves, of which you must be the Judge - Reserving out of this Sloop, all your provisions arms, Water, Cask Stores &c. proper & amply Sufficient to come of the Coast with - or if Mr. Brew will Ship off upon Freight in the vessell you come of in and consign the same to you as many Slaves as will pay us the £400 Sterling or the sum you may agreee for Clear of Expence at Barbados or any other market you may sell at shoud like it - equally as well, as to receive our pay on the Coast - But by no means - take his Bill of Exchange - If by any accident you shoud miss the Island of Barbados then proceed to St. Kitts and apply to Mr. Nathaniel Weller merchant there where you will find our Letter and further orders - and if you cannot fetch St. Kitts proceed to St Croix, and apply to Mr. John Neall merchant there with whom you will find our orders - We recommend Dispatch in your voyage wishing you success and a safe return We are your owners and Friends - Chris Champlin Geo Champlin

- Orders to captain of a slave ship to collect slaves in Africa and sell them in Barbados; "purchase what Slaves in your power proceeding down to the Gold Coast…When you have finished your Trade on the Coast proceed to Barbados." If they miss Barbados, they should proceed to St. Kitt's, "and if you cannot fetch St. Kitts proceed to St. Croix."
