Know all Men by these Presents that I Mary Murrin of Narwalk County in fairfield County & Collenny of Connecticut for and in consideration of the sum of Forty four pounds Current Money of the Province of New York to me in Hand paid by Daniel St . John Junr. in the same Town County & Province afforesaid Do give grant Bargain Sell unto him the said John Daniel St. John his Heirs and assigns forever one Negro Girl a slave of about Eight years Old, named Hannah To have and to hold the said Negro as a slave During her Natural Life unto Him the said Daniel St. John his Heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper Use Benefit & Behoof free and clear from any [?] [?] whatsoever In witness whereof I Have Hereunto set my Hand and & seal this 12th Day of July AD 1770. Mary Murrin Signd, Sealed and Delivered In presents of us Abner Chamberlin John Stanford
