Know all Men by These presents That I Samuel Coniard of Bermuda, In Consideration of the Sum of eighty and Two pounds Currant Money of New England to me in hand well-paid by Samuell Talcott of Weathersfield in the County of Hartferd & colony of Connecticutt In New England, Have granted - Bargained & Sold & Do by These presents fully & Absolutely Grant Sell Convey & In Open Markett Deliver unto the Said Samuell Talcott & unto his Heirs and assigns a Certain Negro Girl named Beck - aged about fifteen years - To Have and To Hold the Said Negro Girl During ye term of her Natural Life to him ye Said Samuell Talcott and unto his Heirs & assigns for ever as his and their own proper Estate, and to his and their own proper Use Benefitt and Behoof, free & Clear of any Title Claim or Challenge, from all & ever person or persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof I Do hereto Sett my hand & Seal this Twenty third Day of May Anno Dom. - 1729. - Signed Sealed & Delivered. In presence of - Samuell Conyer Nathaniel Burnham Mehetabel Burnham
