About the construction

Description: This gable end Folk House has a entry porch supported by curved brackets with cut-out pediment roof. There is a one story wing on the rear and an enclosed porch probably added to the east facade at a later date. The second story is covered with shingles, and the first story with aluminum.
Date Of Construction: ca. 1887
Context: The original owner is unknown. Sarah and James Lewis occupied the house around 1916. In the 1920s Henry Ormsby, a barber at 111 E. Michigan Ave., lived here.
