About the construction

Description
Two and one-half story transitional Queen Anne-Colonial Revival cross gable house with hipped roof. The pedimented front porch has classical support columns on a dressed stone foundation. A frame barn sits behind the house.

Context
On the National Register(E. Michigan Avenue Historic District) for architectural significence,103 Maple was built in 1911 by Henry and Lydia Lindenschmidt. In 1941 Lydia Feldkamp Lindenschmidt is joined by her son Julius, his wife Clara, and son William. Julius Lindenschmidt was born in Pittsfield Township September 21, 1878. He was employed in the real estate business and as a streetcar motorman in Ann Arbor and later t Central Speciality in Ypsilanti.He married Clara Sturm on June 12, 1901 in Saline. They also had a daughter, Ruth.
