About the construction

Description: This two- story gable front Craftsman bungalow has a one story extension on the front. Typical of the Craftsman style, it has a roof overhang with braces, shed roof dormers, and a bay with ribbon windows. Two patterns of shingles cover the top level of the house and extension, with alumunum covering the lower part. There is an unpainted wood porch on the rear. It has a cement block foundation and detached garage.
Date Of Construction: ca. 1925
Context: Formerly 212 N. Harris, this house was moved according to the 1947 assessor's file. The enclosed porch and various types of siding suggests that it was also remodeled over the years. It was occupied by the Scherdt family in the early 1940s and owned by Adolph Lindemann, Saline builder, in 1947.
