About the construction

Description: Gable front and wing Folk House. Gable is two stories, and the wing is one story. Wide cornice band. Porch on wing enclosed. Windows are one light over one. Addition to rear of wing. Stone foundation. Patterned roof shingles.
Date Of Construction: 1890 ca.
Context: Because of the heavy cornice line, this may have been a Greek Revival style house. There are houses in this area on the 1872 Bird's Eye View of Saline. Martin and Elizabeth Lamb lived in the house with their son, John, and his wife 1910-1920. Martin died and Elizabeth lived with her son and his wife 1920-1935. John and Mary remained in the house through 1947.
