About the construction

Description: Two story, crossed gable, vernacular Queen Anne style house. Three window bay in front (north) facade. Hipped roof, enclosed porch is set in 'L' where the two sections meet. Windows are one light over one, and four over four. One and a half story addition to rear, with a one story addition to it. Entry porch on one story addition. Asbestos shingle siding. Concrete block foundation. Three car garage at rear.
Date Of Construction: 1870 ca.
Context: Charles and Ann Parsons lived in the house from 1912 to 1920 at least. John and Ida Burkhardt owned the house 1926-1941. Fred and Cecilia Korte lived there in 1947. The house seems to be on the 1872 Bird's Eye View of Saline.
