- Context
- Jacob's family lived on S. Ann Arbor and owned several lots. In 1910 Jacob and his wife, Wilhelmina, built a house on one of the lots; and his brother Martin built at 218 in 1912. An older house was probably torn down. The 1872 Bird's Eye View of Saline shows several houses located in the approximate location of 216 - 218. The city directory lists Jacob as a teamster. They owned the house until 1947; Robert Venzia owned it in 1966, according to a permit in the assessor's file.
