About the construction

Description: One story, square, orange brick building. Shingled, mansard-type roof. No apparent front entrance. Door on S. Ann Arbor St. Narrow, vertical, concrete detailing on east facade. Loading dock on north facade with two doors.
Date Of Construction: 1956
Context: Older picture in assessor's file shows no mansard roof or concrete detailing. Prior to 1950, there was a house located at 200, and the telephone company was located on the first floor for many years. Originally the name was Saline Telephone Company, then Michigan Associated Telephone Company. It was listed in the 1945 city directory at this location. It became General Telephone Company in 1973.
