- Context
- Built in 1899 by Clark and Munger of Bay City, and executed by local builders, Offord and Schaffer. This building is a nice example of vernacular, Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. The first Methodist church on the site was built in 1839, followed by a New England style frame church. The present church was built in 1899, and was used as such until 1989, when the congregation moved to a new site. The Calico Cat opened in this building in 1990. This building is listed on the National Register.
