About the construction
- Description
- Two and one half story, gambrel roof, Dutch Colonial Revival style house. Full width dormer across front (west) facade with two sets of paired windows. Enclosed sunporch on south facade with a hipped roof and brick balustrade. Windows are three vertical lights over one. Set of three windows across lower front facade. Shutters on front facade. Hood roof over entry. Brick foundation. Two story addition in rear. One and a half story, modern, two car garage at rear.

- Context
- Maurice Henderson and his wife, Louella, built the house in 1930. Mr. Henderson was manager of Staebler Oil Company in 1941. The Hendersons lived here until at least 1963, when Paul and Virginia Hocking bought the house. They are the present owners. Aluminum siding was added in 1963 by the Hendersons.
