About the construction

Description: Two story, gable front, Folk House. One story addition extending from south porch beyond house on the front (southwest) facade. The north facade features a shed roof dormer and a shed roof bay. Shed roof porch has fluted column supports on solid balustrade. Windows are one light over one. Handicapped access ramp at rear of house. Rear entry porch. One car, gable front, wood garage at rear.
Date Of Construction: 1915 ca.
Context: House not on the 1912 Sanborn map, but there on the 1921 map. 1964 photo shows a shed roof porch with square, wood supports. Owners: George Alexander 1926; Roy and Gertrude Loeffler 1941-1954; Thomas Beckington 1955-1956; Jedele family 1957-1973; Lester Ryder 1974-1978; T. Davis and V. Andrus 1979-1980; Wade and Linda Gilkey 1981-1994. Front addition in 1991. This house is listed on the National Register as part of the North Ann Arbor Street Historic District.
