- This oval-shaped ceramic vessel features a wide, steep rim surrounding a large well in the center. The scalloped edges of the rim are cut back into a deep semicircle on one side. The rim is painted in underglaze blue and yellow with plant and floral motifs that are arranged in a whimsical, asymmetrical fashion around the edge. The well is decorated with similar vegetal motifs and two vaguely stork-like birds with long legs that confront one another on a strip of turf.

The attractive glaze effect is achieved by applying small dots of a wax over the entire surface of the vessel, and then pouring the glaze from the top down. Unglazed ring interior is the result from a clay ring to separate one pot from another in firing.

The lid mimics the spires of Thai Buddhist architecture, rising from the gentle curve of the lower portion of the lid and alternating between solid bands of green, and multicolored floral patterns. The green covers what would be the underside of each of the colorful three tiers of "roof" segments, culminating in what appears to be a red and gold lotus bud at the top of the lid.

- Bencharong ware spittoon made in a private kiln in Jingdezhen, China, for Thai market. Probably ordered from Thai royalty, under the reign of Rama II (r. 1809-1824). It is the porcelain ware enameled with multiple colors, in the style called “five colors” (“bencharong” refers to five colors in Sanskrit). It has a large mouth and bulbous shape, with design of minor Buddhist deities Thepanom and Norasingh, and Chinese fire patterns.

- This is an unglazed stoneware bizen jar fired in a wood-burning kiln.
- It has a hard, smooth surface with decorative incisions near the top of the jar. The lower portion has effect of color gradation of reds and browns. The lid seems to dip into the jar, and has a know handle. The entire piece is not perfectly formed, but has an organic aesthetic.
