Two faintly drawn windows are visible to the left, in front of which two figures sit together on a bench; there is indication of two stories of windows above the doorway, although the one of the third floor is only loosely indicated. The quoined edges of a tall wall at the right leads to a low wall on the right side in the foreground. In the foreground at the left are three children.

There is a large crowd of soldiers, some on foot and some on horseback, who are gathered around their commander. He stands on a snowy rise and points to a friar who holds a basket of bread. Other friars walk among the foot soldiers to distribute bread. There is French writing below the scene that identifies the title, artist and publisher of the print.

- Wood-carved, standing figure with knees slightly flexed, prominent gentalia, naturalistic face, pointed beard and eyes inset with a white material, probably small ceramic fragments. The feet are missing. It wears a metal ring around its neck, and a string with metal fragments, glass beads and a small metal bell is attached across its chest, from arm to arm. A vertical crack on the front right side of the figure is filled with a gauzy material.

- Shiva stands in an unbending pose and the sculpture is broken just below the knees. He is two-armed and his right hand is raised with his palm outward. His left arm is broken away. He wears a short lower garment with incised lines delineating folds and he is ithyphallic, his upraised penis extending up from behind his belt. He wears simple jewelry, a belt, armlets, a bracelet on the one wrist still extant and a simple beaded necklace. There is an auspicious diamond pattern in the middle of his chest. He has a fleshy face with a full mouth and large eyes, a third eye is incised on his forehead. His hair is done in an elaborate coiffure piled high.
