- Title
- Tankard with Lid and scenes of Judith, Lucretia, and Venus
- Artist
- Artist Unknown, Germany
- Physical Description
- The body of the tankard is decorated with two narrow bands of gilded abstract vegetal ornament around the neck and base, separated by a wider band that features three repoussé medallions alternating with three bosses. Each medallion depicts a standing nude female: one of the nudes appears in an interior holding a dagger to her chest; another holds a sword and a man's head and stands beside a female companion; the third holds an elongated arrow with a blindfolded cupid at her feet. The cast handle consists of a clawed bird's foot grasping a ball at the base, followed by a satyr mask, a bound female nude, and, surmounting the handle, the bust of a warrior. The lid, a later addition, bears a wreath with a series of initials and the date 1639.

- Interior of a Pompeiian Home with Figures (The Impluvium)
- Artist
- Eugène Viollet-le-Duc
- Physical Description
- An ink drawing in shades of gray with very exact detailing of objects and architectural elements in the scene. It shows the interior of a Roman house with sunlight streaming into an open courtyard with a fountain. The stone fountain has a square basin supported by a pedestal and a standing nude sculpture above it. One wall of the courtyard is decorated with floral designs and two figural scenes. A small bush is growing in a dirt area of the floor and there are two large vessels against the wall. Two figures are standing in a colonnade to the left of the courtyard. One is a woman dressed in a toga who is looking at a man dressed in a short sleeved tunic. The decorations of the floor, walls and ceiling depict ancient classical designs such as ascanthus leaves, meander and scroll patterns and the roof tiles have floral plume decorations and lion's head spouts.

- Physical Description
- 5 physical tears on left edge, indicating the original book bindings.
- TOP IMAGE. A river appears in lower right corner, traveling from "front" to "back" of image. Along its banks two distant windmills occur, indicating Holland as the location. A distant boat with sails, and a closer group of three row boats on river. The closer group has thee figures bent over their work, which looks like hauling nets. In the center is a nearly barren twisted tree, at whose base is a rough hut of blanks and branches. A path from the bottom right bends up and around the hut and tree, on which a small group of three are poised (two sitting figures appear to listen to a standing third) and a single man travels further into the distance. Houses with thatched roofs, some patched with boards, appear on the right of the image, along the riverbanks into the distance.
- BOTTOM IMAGE. A river curves gently back from the bottom right. Boulders surround the bank on the left half of the image, with scraggly trees and vegetation. Several boulders stretch out into the water, and on one of these, on the bottom right, is a group of perhaps three viewers. Two are seated, and appear to be listening to a third, who is standing and pointing to the right. Hills can be seen in the bottom right corner, stretching into the distance along the river.

- Physical Description
- This is a brown ink and wash drawing on a light background that depicts an expansive landscape with three figures in a row in the center area. The foreground shows a rocky, mountainous area with the figures standing on a ledge and square-shaped buildings, or walls, on a rise to the right. One figure is an old man with long white hair and a beard, who is wearing a draped robe and holding a staff. A woman is walking behind him on the path and balancing a vessel on her head. Another woman, behind her, has her arms at her side and looks downward. In the middle and far section of the drawing there is a walled city being destroyed with violent flooding of the city gates and eathquake-like destruction of the buildings. Far down the path a lone woman raises her hands in a gesture of distress. There are turbulent cloud formations in the sky.
