The viewer is presented with an illusionistic rendering of a corner an ornate celiing. Architectural moldings, windows, and a still life in the corner with a globe and measuring instruments suggest that this might have been intended for a library
Old Man and The Green Mountain (Ch'ing-shan lao-fu)
An ink painting of a mountainscape with hills and abstract paths. Trees are depicted in darker shades, though most do not hold any detail. The image is in the lower half of the hanging scroll, and the upper half is covered with text. The image is entirely grey-scale.
This black and white print has a long vertical format showing two nude figures standing in front of a tree trunk. The female is holding an apple in each hand and has her left foot resting on a tablet with the letters HGB. Her face is turned to look at the figure behind her. This figure holds her shoulder with one hand and with the other places a leafy branch in front of her genitalia. On the bottom left corner is a date 1519.
Solicitudo Rustica (Rustic Cares) from the Large Landscapes after Pieter Bruegel the Elder
This print offers an expansive vista over a river valley bordered by high mountains in the distance. In the foreground a peasant sits on the ground hammering the blade of his scythe as another man leans against a tree and gazes into the valley. Boats, towns, and villages dot the landscape.
