The Digital Library Federation (DLF) MODS (Metadata Objects Description Schema) portal is a follow-on project of the University of Michigan Digital Library Production Service, as part of an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant designed to test the second generation of Open Archives Initiative (OAI) harvestable materials. The portal is and will be testing appropriate methods of transforming, displaying and making searchable the MODS enhanced metadata format.
