To Edwin M. Stanton [1]

February 19, 1865

I know nothing of Col. Briscoe; nor have I taken any supervision in the organization of Hancock's new Corps. [2] Hence I submit these papers to the Sec. of War, simply remarking that they seem to be good and ample. A. LINCOLN
