Hitchcock presents his respects to the President in behalf of Miss Eliot, the young lady who (accompanied by Miss Williams) presented a request this morning asking his assistance in obtaining some employment, and begs to recommend her to his kindness.'' Miss Eliot and Miss Williams have not been identified.
