This undated letter was written on the back of a letter from the Sandfords, dated at Paris, Illinois, May 16, 1855, enclosing five dollars collected on one of two notes which Lincoln had left with them for collection. The date of receipt at Paris endorsed on Lincoln's letter is June 3, 1855.
