Robert Mosely Esq Springfield,
My dear Sir: July 2. 1858
Your letter of the 29th. is received, and for which I thank you. Herewith I send a little article which I wish you would have published in the ``Pra[i]rie Beacon'' next week.2Jump to section Besides my own recollection, I have carefully examined the Journals since I saw you; and I know the editor will be entirely safe in publishing the article. Get it into the first paper. Yours very truly A. LINCOLN---
Annotation
[1] ALS, IHi. Robert Moseley, whose name Lincoln misspells, was a Republican politician elected state representative from Edgar County in 1858.
