Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln. Volume 2.
Lincoln, Abraham, 1809-1865.

To Orville H. Browning and Nehemiah Bushnell [1]

Messrs Browning & Bushnell Springfield,
Gentlemen March 28. 1851

Your letter is received. I have made the arrangement to use the Hoyt evidence [2] in the other cases.

The new Act of Congress provides that all cases begun here shallPage  104 be tried here, & not go to Chicago at all. All our Patent cases were begun here.

It also fixes the summer term here in July, [3] instead of June as heretofore. So no trouble is created in our Patent cases by the new law. In haste Yours as ever A. LINCOLN
